Gaylo 3

-Syko: Really, What else is there to say…R-E-T-A-R-D.

cod4 killed gaylo in gameplay
wii fit killed gaylo in sales
kz2 buried gaylo

the only people playing gaylo 3 are 12 year olds how did not have the money to buy cod4 in 2007.. scratch that, their moms did not have enough hooker money at that time

Claiming Both Systems

-Syko: This is a played out fanboy tactic. Claim you own both systems and then proceed to be a one sided asshat fanboy. The glaring truth shines through, He either only owns the system he is praising or likely doesn’t have either, and is playing N64 in his mom’s basement.

I just don’t understand the PoS3 fanboys comments. I own both systems and it is clear to me that the architecture of the 2 systems is so different that if the game is not built on the PoS3 that it will be inferior. I can’t see why we constantly have to hear about games that are over a year old, “what about Uncharted and MGS4″ thats all I hear. I mean who is still playing these games. Stop complaining on this site all day and use your time to go cut lawns or shovel snow to get some money up and buy a XBOX. Get out of mom’s basement andask for that over due raise at Subway so you can buy another system. Or just stop complaining about your inferior system and go watch a Blu-Ray movie with it. Or how about trying some party chat on the PSN.

Apologies…

Just wanted to give a shout to my Ten, Errrr… 5 Loyal readers and apoligize for the recent lack of updates. Internet troubles and lack of time have led to an astounding zero updates lately. Rest assured though that starting today we are back in action and will be back to our regular updates. And if this has dropped my readership down to only one person, then thanks for sticking with me…Ya I’m talking to you!

The Fanboy Test and Steven Colbert

-Syko: Here is a old article about fanboys but relevant still, because in the end fanboys will be fanboys. With the same tired arguments and the same idiotic rehtoric that makes them oh so hated in the gaming scene.

Gamespot: Unsure if you’re a fanboy? The following editorial is an actual test to determine if you are a fanboy. Read the article from start to finish and by the end I guarantee you will know if you are a game console fanboy.

The user submitted gaming media these days consist of 90% fanboy babble stating the same points over and over again. I view video games as an art and I enjoy debating the merits and flaws of certain games but regardless of what I write people turn it into a console attack session. Nothing is heard over the din but “the PS3 is terrible” or in the correct Internet colloquiums “PS3 suxxors lol”.

I could go on about how “it is really about the games” or something as almost as cliché as the fanboy talking points but I would rather look at the psychology of fanboyism. Why? Well I think we can learn a lot and apply the same science to how people get overly emotional and irrational about other things like sports, religious affiliation, nationality, ethnic backgrounds, and politics. Choosing sides on the console wars is nothing more than becoming part of a group. Unfortunately when human beings become a member of a group, they feel the need to hate the people outside of their group. It must be genetic because since the beginning of time wars have been fought over small differences in groups of people who will oddly band together in a few short years to fight people with slightly larger differences. Looking back at history it is amazing the human race still exists.

The Crying Game

-Syko: “This one struck me as hilarious. While all intentions were probably at the stereotype of fanboys living on Cheetos and Mountain Dew, I sensed an underlying tone of Halo Game Fuel. Perhaps I just read to much into this one.”

500,000 sales is certainly nothing to sneeze at, although given its status by the SDF as the next “Just-wait-until” PS3 game, there’s got to be many a Sony fanboy crying into his Mountain Dew seeing that number.
